Cyber4AM at Piraeus University and ENISA Headquarters

On December 2-3, 2024, the Armenian delegation of the Cyber4AM initiative participated in a series of discussions hosted by Piraeus University in Athens, Greece. Representatives from universities, government, and the IT sector. The discussion consisted by the presentations of Armenian universities as well as of the University of Toulouse (France), the University of Maribor (Slovenia), the University of Lorraine (France), Politecnico di Torino (Italy), and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Research and education efforts from various departments of Piraeus University were also featured. Cyber4AM delegation also participated in the ENISA meeting.

Key discussions revolved around designing and structuring a proposed master’s degree in cybersecurity as well as establishing a Cybersecurity Excellence Center in Armenia. The Armenian delegation welcomed valuable feedback and suggestions from experienced European partners. ENISA representatives introduced the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework, offering guidance for capacity building, and proposed Armenia’s participation as an observer in the European Cybersecurity Challenge.The Armenian delegation included Gohar Ghalachyan, Head of International Relations at UFAR; Komitas Stepanyan, Technology and Cybersecurity Director at the Central Bank of Armenia; Armine Arzumanyan, Lecturer at AUA; Narine Martirosyan, Lecturer at YSU; Sevak Torgomyan, Product Owner at M-One and representative of Eurasia International University; Hayk Mnatsakanyan, Co-Founder and CEO of rBlox and UATE member; and Robert Tadevosyan, Lecturer at the European University of Armenia.

This event underscores Armenia's commitment to strengthening its cybersecurity ecosystem through international collaboration.
